Puerto Rico's population has significantly dropped over the past 40 years, this is probably because it is an American -owned country therefore they can leave Puerto Rico and find a better-paying job in America. www.populationpyramid.net/puerto-rico/2020/ In this link shows when the highest point in the population was and how and when it will be declining. Puerto Ricans go to America because they have less poverty and better-paying jobs. Puerto Rico also has a bunch of hurricanes destroying people's property and with low-paying jobs, they can not afford to fix their homes.
