Cultural Geography!
Hopkinton has many topics of Cultural Geography! One can be the covered bridges. Most towns don’t even have ONE covered bridge. Hopkinton/Contoocook has two. One of the two covered bridges was for trains. Interestingly, the Contoocook railroad bridge is the oldest railroad bridge in America. Another topic can be Kimball Cabins. Kimball Cabins can be found next to Kimball lake. There are four cabins although most are not used. The two that are used the most are the main cabin and the boy scout cabin. If you go down a little road you can get to trails that can connect to the Greenway. The cabins and lake are used for a lot of things. Canoeing, ice skating, campouts, fishing, small hikes around the lake, and are also used by the boy scouts. The boy scouts have their own cabin too.
