The Norway Maple, also known as Acer Platenoides have grayish textured bark, greenish yellow flowers and its leaves have 4 points and are a dark green color. Norway maples come from Europe and Western Africa. They were first introduced to America when they were being planted as excessively and they got out of hand. The seeds have two wings and are often called helicopter seeds because of there shape. The seeds spread by wind and by water. The Norway Maple is in Hopkinton and in my yard.
