This swipe map shows the population changes in Puerto Rico from 1970-2010. Over the years people have been moving to Puerto Rico and leaving Puerto Rico. They have been moving to Puerto Rico because the prices of houses in the United States are going up, so they move to Puerto Rico because they house prices are very low. The most populated city in Puerto Rico is San Juan with around 400,000 people and the lest populated city in Puerto Rico is Culebra which has around 1,800 people. People have been moving from Puerto Rico because they are in deep debt and the economy isn't the greatest for some people. All of these reasons are why people have been moving and leaving Puerto Rico.
