Haiti

This map is showing the population from 1971 - 2015. Haiti was originally inhabited by the indigenous Taino people, who migrated from South America. As shown on the map, the population of Haiti has gone up by almost 3 million. Haiti is extremely poor and also extremely politically unstable. Haiti was claimed by Spain and named La Española, which helped form part of the Spanish Empire until the early 17th century.
