Kindergarten

In Kindergarten we having been learning all about authors and illustrators, characters and settings. We read I Really Like Slop!, written and illustrated by one of our favorite authors and illustrators, Mo Willems. We noticed that when Piggie and Elephant speak, their words appear in speech bubbles and sometimes the size of the words and their facial expressions change to show how they are feeling. Then, after using our imaginations to think of other foods Piggie and Elephant might try, we worked in teams of two to rewrite the story. We drew the characters, added speech bubbles with dialog and drew a setting.
