Focus Group Input
Part of the process of creating the Portrait of a Graduate involved getting stakeholder input. In addition to sending out surveys, the Portsmouth School Department held numerous focus groups throughout the community. Moderators from among the committee were trained and learned how to facilitate a focus group. These moderators then scheduled focus group meetings with students, community members, and parents throughout the month of May 2023.
Participants gathered to have discussions and answer questions that focused on their hopes, dreams, and vision for what they wanted our students to know and be able to do upon leaving the district at graduation.
