Skittles Experiment

Arrange skittles around a plate/bowl. Gently pour water in. If skittles move just put them back. What happens? Why?

Art of your pet/any animal

Create a piece of art inspired by your pet or favorite animal. How many details can you add?

Sky Art

Can you create a painting of your favorite kind of sky? Is it night time? Daytime? Sunrise? Thunder? What kinds of colors will you use?

Shoe Design

Like shoes? Create some new kicks! Design a new type of shoe or try to look at one and draw it the best you can.

Panda Party

Create a birthday party Panda! It might help to start with the big circle head first! What kind of hat will it wear? How many balloons will there be?

Mixed Media Seashell

Use sharpie to draw an interesting seashell. It might help to look at one while you draw. Add color!

Art for kids hub
Art for kids hub is a website full of fun "how to draw" videos. They even have Oragami, sculpting, and painting videos.

Timelapse videos
"Deepaks Art" Channel is full of cool timelapse videos. Most of them are oil pastel, but you could use any art material you have available.(Crayons, colored pencils, watercolors...anything!)

Recycled Art
What can you make with a paper towel roll or toilet paper roll? Owls? Trees? Flowers? Castles? Animals? A maze for marbles? Use your imagination and give it a try.

Find a spot for your mural. A driveway, sidewalk, outside patio floor, a giant wall (get permission first). Design a variety of shapes with painters tape.

When you are done with your tape design nicely add color to each section. You can use paint or outside sidewalk chalk.

Nature Art
Using only natural materials go outside and make a piece of art. What can you find to make your piece? Rocks? Dirt? Grass? Twigs? Moss? Flowers? Leaves? Mud? Water?

Found Object Color Wheel
Using found objects throughout your home, collect as many colored objects as you can to create a color wheel!

Robot Art
Using lines, shapes and patterns create your own robot masterpiece.

Half Geometric Half Organic
Sketch out your choice of animal. Look up imagery if it will help you draw. Split animal in half and make one side geometric and the other side realistic/organic.

Shape/Alphabet Art
Create 26 colorful shapes in any arrangement and any pattern/colors. Use any materials you have. Draw letters on top of shapes. Do a few upper and lowercase!

Paper Towel Roll Paint Party
Carefully cut the ends of a paper towel/toilet paper roll. Dip the roll into a variety of paints and stamp onto a surface. (paper/cardboard)

Negative/Positive Space
Trace your hand on 2 different pieces of paper. On one paper create designs on only the background. On the other paper create designs on only the hand.

Landscape Art
Using any art materials you have at home create a landscape of your choice. Feel stuck? Check out the art of Canadian Artist Emily Carr!

Art of Favorite Memories
Split up a piece of paper into many different sections. Fill up each section with a different favorite memory that you have!

Painted Rocks
Go outside and gather a few rocks. Use small brushes and paint your rocks! You might need a few layers of paint. Don't have paint? Try sharpies, markers, chalk, colored pencils, or crayon.

Cloud Collection
Create a cloud collection through photography. How many kinds of clouds can you collect? Fluffy ones? Flat ones? Round ones? White ones? Morning ones?

Character Art
Create a piece of art that features one of your favorite characters. Create a super colorful background.

Pattern City/Town
Create a drawing of a variety of buildings. Tall ones, short ones, silly ones, wide ones, castle ones. Fill in each building with a different pattern.

Random Object Word Art
Use random items around your house to create letters or words. Photograph your finished art when done.

Everyday Object Art
Look around for some everyday objects. Place the object on your paper and create an unexpected piece of art!

Value Scavenger Hunt
Look for objects around your house that you can create a value scale with. (Dark to light) Take a photograph of your arrangement!
