Instructional Design
Instructional design is the process by which learning facilitators design instruction of complex reasoning processes with meaningful content so that learners can practice life-long habits of mind. In doing so, they choose the most effective instructional strategies for the types of knowledge and complex reasoning processes the learners need to learn to mastery and develop highly reliable formative and summative assessments as evidence of learning. These should be ideal learning experiences that take into account the research and accepted theory for motivation, engagement, and achievement.
