Our Viable Learner Outcomes for each content area K-12 are designed based on the national standards and organized into progressions of learning. Our structure overtime will meet the following criteria:
(This criteria is being met over time but as our progressions are refined and we build technology, learning facilitator, and community capacity our goal is to meet them all)
Adopted from: © 2016Mass Customized Learning National Alliance Maine Consortium
Our Instructional Design Model for Curriculum at the classroom level will be based on the 3 centric circles of instructional design. Our goal is to provide learners with the "Ideal Learning Experiences" that promote the 5 Focus areas of Motivation, Engagement, and Achievement ( Inviting Schools, Learning by Doing, Higher Order Thinking, Student Voice & Choice, Real World Connections).
The instructional design and learning progressions model is founded in research and theory of the Dimensions of Learning. The following link will take you to the online free Dimensions of Learning Text that support practitioners in choosing effective instruction, assessment, and feedback tools and strategies.
The following are the exit learner outcomes from our strategic design process. Once approved by the board these will be a part of our curriculum structure and our learning progressions will be mapped to them.
