Mrs. Milewski

Welcome to second grade! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I wanted to tell you a little about me!

I grew up locally, graduating from Souhegan High School. I was a soccer player in both H.S. and College. During H.S. and college I was an aid at Sunrise Children's Center in Amherst working with children from 2 yrs old through kindergarten age. I also taught at an Environmental Camp in Amherst for about 10 years and spent a couple years at Beaver Brook teaching Forest Forts. I earned my B.S. in Education from St. Joseph's College in Maine and master's degree from SNHU.

The out of doors is where I am happiest. I have hiked more than half of the NH 4k footers and have miles and miles of trails near my home that I have the privilege of enjoying regularly. I love to camp, hike, and just be outside.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching. Although challenging in many ways, the excitement and enthusiasm of this age group is infectious and endearing. I strongly believe that creating a love and a pride in/of their learning at this early age will help set the stage for many successful future academic endeavors. I firmly believe that creating a strong sense of pride and compassion in a child will create a foundation for success in all areas.

I also believe that it is an honor to trust me with your child for the school day and I take this responsibility very seriously. I thank you for allowing me this opportunity and I promise to do the best that I can to make your child's school experience a happy, worthwhile and growing one.
