About Us

Hello 6th-Grader!

We are so excited to have you joining us this upcoming year in sixth grade! You may have seen us in the hallway before, but we want to introduce ourselves. Our amazing team is made up of Ms. Beck, Ms. Batey, Ms. McBride, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Moreau and Mr. Vetack!  Together we are looking forward to challenging you and helping you reach your full potential over the coming school year. Remember, together WE make HUES a community - and we’re looking forward to this journey together!

During the coming school year, you can plan on learning all about some of our favorite topics! We all love reading and look forward to sharing some of our favorite authors and topics with you. We love hands-on projects in mathematics and dropping eggs from great heights in science as part of our Forces & Motion Unit. We will also dive into the depths of early civilizations such as Mesopotamia, we’ll explore cultures that have had a significant impact on modern society like those of Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt. But most of all, we’ll have fun exploring these areas together!

We hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing summer with plenty of adventures. We cannot wait to see you all again in September and are really looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you during our fantastic year
