In March 2025, the School District released a Request for Proposals for architectural services for the design of a new elementary school on the Lamprey River Elementary School site. At the June 6, 2025 School Board meeting, administration made the recommendation to hear presentations from the three finalists before making a final decision to award the bid.
On July 15, 2025, the School Board heard the presentations of three finalists for the project. The presentations were filmed by RCTV and can be viewed by clicking on the video link. The agenda and backup documents for this meeting can be found here.
The School Board voted to award the project to Barker Architects.
Architect Bio - Kyle Barker, Barker Architects
Kyle Barker is a licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional. Kyle formed his own practice in January of 2000 and has since focused primarily on public, municipal and specifically educational facilities. He feels the most successful projects are those that serve the community, improve our quality of life and have a low environmental impact.
Kyle considers community involvement a very important trait for a design professional. He has provided countless hours of volunteer time to his profession and the communities he serves.
Kyle personally oversees all aspects of work at Barker Architects, PLLC including programming, design, contract documents, and construction administration. He has immersed himself in every aspect of design learning new trends and applying them to his work. He has in particular, researched educational design heavily and contributed to the NH Education Department’s update to their construction manual for districts.
