Reading is an exciting part of kindergarten. During trimester two, students will be able to recognize and name 50 upper- and lowercase letters. We will continue to learn that words are separated by spaces and understand more about the concepts of print. One of the ways kindergartners learn to read and develop comprehension skills is by listening to stories being read to them. We will provide opportunities for you child to listen to stories and encourage you to also read to them each day and have conversations about books.
