This is the literacy program we use in kindergarten. Each letter has a symbol cue and a sound to help students learn their letters and sounds.

Writing Guide Lines
In the FUNdations program, we use a writing grid to help us form our letters correctly. Letters never grow from the grass, they fall from the sky or plane.
Tall letters start on the "SKY line." Short and long letters start on the "PLANE line." Tall and short letters stop on the "GRASS line." Long letters stop on the "WORM line."
TALL letters: b, d, f, h, k, l, t
SHORT letters: a, c, e, i, m, n, o, r, s, u, v, w, x, z
LONG letters: g, j, p, q, y
