Forget to return a book on time? That's ok. Bring them back next time you pass by. Library books will have special stickers on them. They have a barcode on the back and a call number on its spine.

General Questions
Who checks out books at Center Woods?
Grades 1-3 check out books and can bring them home. Please find a safe place for your library books for when they visit your home. Books are checked out for about two weeks and should be returned by the time students get to their music rotation. Kindergarten checks out books, but they will not be going home.
What is a Playaway?
This year, we have audiobooks in an MP3 format that third graders are able to checkout with parent permission. These are called Playaways. The entire book is on the MP3 player making it small, portable, and easy to use. Students are able to adjust the reader's speed, and there is a bookmark feature that will keep your place when you turn off the playaway. Since there is a higher replacement cost for these devices, they do require parent permission before checking them out. Students can use their own headphones or a set can be provided for them at checkout.
What happens if I can't find my book?
Little brothers and sisters, cats and dogs, chocolate milk and juice are the bane of a library book. But it happens. We do not panic about a missing book. They tend to show up and sometimes with student helpers books get misplaced for awhile. If a book is truly lost, then it should be paid for so that the library can replace it. Refunds are given if a book does show up.
