SRMS Great East Festival
CONGRATULATIONS
to the members of the SRMS Band & Chorus for FANTASTIC performances and scores at the 2023 Great East Festival!
Students performed spring concert selections for a panel of judges at Springfield Central High School in Springfield, MA. The Chorus scored an overall Silver Rating, and the Band scored a Gold Rating. Congratulations to all of our students for your hard work and excellent perf!
Thank you so much to all our chaperones, parent volunteers, and Music Boosters for making this a wonderful day!
Southeast District
Music Festival
Mrs. Bartlett and Mr. Harrington are pleased to share pictures of our students representing Sanborn with pride and distinction at NHMEA Southeast Middle School Festival hosted by our friends at The Cooperative Middle School in Stratham.
Choral participants pictured are all 8th graders: Bass Tommy Hayes, Alto Gabrielle Bateman, Festival Chorus director Wendell Purrington (retired, Portsmouth High School), soprano Ellie Paris, and alto Paige Watson.
Band participants are 8th graders Jacob Bufano on Trumpet, Madelyn Rockwell on Trumpet, Emma Talham on Percussion, and Cecelia Wentworth on Trumpet.
We continue to be grateful for the district's support of these amazing opportunities for our students, and huge thanks to all parents who stepped up to transport the musicians. The evening concert was FANTASTIC. Congratulations to our musicians!
CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of the SRMS annual Instrument Costume Contest!
Students created costumes for their instruments, and all instruments needed to be fully playable when dressed!
