I have had the privilege of working as a school counselor in the Sanborn Regional School District since 2001, first at the middle school level and now at the elementary level. Over the years, I have found so much joy in building strong, supportive relationships with students and families, and in being part of a community that helps children grow, learn, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
I have a special interest in supporting children and families in understanding and managing anxiety. I believe that when students are given the tools to recognize and cope with their feelings, they are better able to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Outside of school, I enjoy running and have always had a love for sports. Much of my free time is spent cheering on my twins at their many sporting events and being with my family. My favorite place to be is near the ocean, where I find a sense of calm and balance that I also strive to bring into my work with students.
A quote that resonates deeply with me in my work is:
“It is far easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.”
I look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s social, emotional, and academic growth.
I am a proud graduate of the Sanborn Regional School District, and it is truly meaningful to serve the same community that helped shape who I am today. While working at Memorial School, I earned my master’s degree in School Counseling from Rivier University. Since 2020, I have had the privilege of serving as a school counselor at Bakie Elementary School.
Through my work, I discovered a strong passion for supporting younger children and their families. I value building meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff, and believe these connections are essential to a supportive school community. My goal is to foster each child’s social, emotional, and academic growth while helping them build confidence and resilience.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family.Being a parent has deepened my appreciation for the importance of connection, exploration, patience, and support in a child’s life. When I’m not at work, you can often find me on my family farm caring for our cows and working farmers markets.
I look forward to connecting with families and working together to support each student’s success socially, emotionally, and academically.
