Week 1

BALANCE CHALLENGES

  • How long can you balance on your right foot?

  • How long can you balance on your left foot?

  • How long can you balance on your right foot with your eyes closed?

  • How long can you balance on your left foot with your eyes closed?

Score “Basket” Ball 🗑

Equipment Needed: Laundry Basket, Balled Up Socks.

Scoring (Spot Value)

  • Spot 1 = Penny or 1 point

  • Spot 2 = Nickel or 5 points

  • Spot 3 = Dime or 10 points

  • Spot 4 = Quarter or 25 points


  1. Place a laundry basket on the floor

  2. Set up 4 spots to toss balled up socks into the basket

  3. Each spot should be a little further from the basket

  4. Toss a sock from any spot you choose

UNDERHAND TOSS TIPS • Face your target • Step forward with your opposite foot (If you are tossing with your Right Arm, step with your left foot) • Swing your arm back to prepare (Like you are bowling) • Follow through to the sky and release the ball

CHALLENGE: How many points can you earn in 2 minutes?

Week 1

JUGGLING

Remember if you Juggle a little each day, by the time we get back to school you will be an expert!

1 juggling ball = awesome

2 juggling balls = excellent

3 juggling balls = juggling expert

Check out the diagram...

First 1 juggling ball, right hand toss to left hand, left hand toss to right hand.

Then 2 juggling balls right hand toss to left hand and left hand toss to right hand.

Then 3 juggling balls! Start with one and only add a ball when you are ready...

52 CARD PICKUP

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

(1) A FULL DECK OF PLAYING CARDS

(2) ENOUGH ROOM TO PERFORM THE EXERCISES

  • Scatter a full deck of cards (52) on the floor.

  • Pick up cards 1 at a time and perform the exercise for that card.

CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL OF PLAY:

*Minor League: 1-15 Cards

*MAJOR LEAGUE: 16-35 Cards

*ALL-STAR: 36-51 Cards

*HALL OF FAME: 52 Cards

Ace = Do a "Happy Dance"

2 = 5 Mountain Climbers

3 = 10 Shoulder-Touch Push-Ups

4 = 5 Squats

5 = Give someone a compliment

6 = 10 Jumping jacks

7 = Run in place for 30 seconds

8 = Plank for 30 Seconds

9 = 10 Abdominal twists

10 = 5 Burpees

Jack = 30 Second Wall Sit

Queen = 10 Crab Kicks

King = NO EXERCISE
