MASKS WILL BE WORN IN THE TENT AT PROM. OTHER THAN THAT THIS IS AN OUTDOOR, SOCIALLY DISTANCED EVENT AND NO LONGER REQUIRES MASKS.

Q: How do I get tickets?

A: There is a link to a google form on the bottom of this page. All tickets need to be reserved online. If you missed buying prom tickets: If you did not order prom tickets you MUST order them before MAY 3rd at 4:00 pm. This is an extended deadline and will not be extended further.

Q: I missed prom ticket pickup:

A: An additional date for prom tickets will be announced after vacation. Don’t worry, your tickets will get to you. You will receive an email about prom ticket pickup and the additional date will be on the announcements.

Q: I am confused about how to fill out the prom permission form.

A: There is a page for this. Follow the directions here.

Q: I am bringing a date who is a EHS 2020 graduate. Do they need a COVID test if they are fully vaccinated?

A: No. Please send Ms. Morse a picture of their COVID Vaccine card after their second shot and you are all set.

Q: I got vaccinated. What should I do with this information?

A: EHS Students are strongly encouraged to share their vaccination cards after their second vaccination with the EHS Health Office and Ms. Morse as this will help with any contact tracing. To do this you can bring in your card and show it to the nurses, or you can send a picture to ehshealthoffice@sau16.org and LMorse@sau16.org .

Q: If someone tests positive after prom and they went to prom would everyone have to quarantine for two weeks and miss graduation.

A: Not only their close contacts as identified by contact tracing. However, this is why it is so important for students to respect the safety rules we have set out. In the case that a student who attended prom tests positive, EHS will conduct contact tracing and that student's close contacts will have to quarantine. Anyone with close contact with the student who tested positive would have to quarantine for 10 days. Again, this is why masks and social distancing are so important.

Q: If I am exposed to COVID at the prom, but I am 'fully vaccinated', do I have to quarantine?

A: If you are 14 days past your last vaccination, no.

Q: Do I have to wear a mask at prom?

A: MASKS WILL BE WORN IN THE TENT AT PROM. OTHER THAN THAT THIS IS AN OUTDOOR, SOCIALLY DISTANCED EVENT AND NO LONGER REQUIRES MASKS.

Q: Can I dance with my date?

A: Yes, there will be a DJ and space for dancing. The number of students dancing at one time will be limited to the number of students who can fit in the space under current CDC guidelines. When dancing, you can dance with your date and friends, but you cannot touch other students. Students will rotate in and out of the dance if there are students waiting.

Q: Will there be food provided?

A: No, eating involves taking off masks. There will be water provided in order to prevent dehydration.

Q: Can I bring a date who is outside of EHS?*

A: CHANGED INFORMATION: Yes. Students who attend the Seacoast School of Technology, but are not EHS students can be guests of an EHS senior. These students must fill out a guest form and be approved through EHS/SST. Also, members of the EHS Class of 2020 may come if they fill out a guest form, present a negative COVID test taken within 3 days of the prom, and are approved by EHS. More information about guests will be emailed to the senior and his/her guest. Students may bring a guest who is 20 years old or younger and is fully vaccinated on the day of the prom (Fully vaccinated is defined as at least two weeks since the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or two weeks since receiving the Johnson & Johnson's). Any guest who has graduated from a high school other than EHS, or is no longer attending school, must meet with the principal prior to ticket purchase. See the question below about buying tickets. All guests will need a photo ID to attend.

  • GUEST BREAKDOWN and required documentation:

    • Any EHS Student- EHS ID

    • Any SST Student- completed guest form (emailed), student ID

    • EHS 2020 graduates- negative COVID test within 3 days of prom, photo ID

    • Any fully vaccinated guest, 20 years old or younger- vaccination card (emailed to LMorse@sau16.org), photo ID

      • non- high school students must meet with the principal before the prom

Q: Can I bring a date who is an EHS student who is not a senior?

A: Yes. You need to buy their ticket when you order yours. Both of you need your EHS IDs to check in to the prom.*

*Q: What if I didn't pick up my EHS ID?

A: You can pick up your EHS ID when you pick up your ticket. When you come to get your ticket ask for your ID and we will give it to you. If your date is not a senior and they need to pick up their ID please email Ms. Morse before April 20th and you can pick up their ID at the drive thru pickup from 3-4pm on April 21-23.

*Q: What if lost my EHS ID?

A: You can get a new ID by dropping into the counseling office and asking Ms. Hebert or Ms. Fitzpatrick. If you are a remote student you can contact lhebert@sau16.org or nfitzpatrick@sau16.org to get a new ID. Replacement IDs cost $5.00

Q: If someone is in my 'covid bubble' can we touch each other?

A: Sorry, no. This is because we have no way of knowing who is in your covid bubble at the prom.

Q: Where will the prom take place?

A: See the schedule page. But in short, the grand march will be in the front of the school. Dancing will be in the back of the school. We will use the bathrooms in the stadium. There will be games and a photo-booth area in the stadium. In the parking area we will show the senior slide show.

Q: Can I participate in the grand march with my friends if I don't have an EHS date?

A: Absolutely! You can march in groups of 1-3.

Q: What kind of shoes should I wear?

A: Anything you feel like. You will be walking on asphalt, turf and parquet dance floor. You can choose to participate in the grand march in one pair of shoes, check your other shoes when you arrive and you will have access to them after the grand march.

Q: What if I don't want to be in the grand march?

A: If you would like to go to prom, but not participate in the grand march, that is totally okay. You should arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 and check in at the table near the tennis courts. You will still need your EHS ID.

Q: Can I change clothes at the prom?

A: Yes. The stadium bathrooms are available for this purpose. You can check the clothes you are going to change into when you arrive and you will have access to them after the grand march.

Q: Will there be bathrooms?

A: Yes, the stadium bathrooms.

Q: Can I leave and come back?

A: No. Once you leave the prom you cannot come back.

Q. Do I need a school ID for this event?

A: Yes. See above.

Q: What if it rains?

A: If there is predicted bad weather, we will make a decision to move the prom to Sunday. This information will be announced through email and school announcements at a minimum.

Q: Is this a safe event?

A: We are doing everything we can to make this event both as fun and normal as possible while maintaining safety. Dancing will be done in a space where students will have the ability to be socially distant from each other, hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event, and adults will be encouraging social distancing. It is important that students take responsibility for their safety by using hand sanitizer, wearing their masks properly and at all times and social distancing.

Q: What if I cannot afford the cost of a ticket?

A: If the cost of tickets is a barrier to you attending prom, please contact Ms. Morse (LMorse@sau16.org) or an adult you are comfortable talking to about this at EHS and have them reach out to Ms. Morse on your behalf.
