Kindergarten math experiences are hands-on and follow the scope and sequence of the Math in Focus program, which follows the Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA) instructional approach. The students learn the language of math and engage in hands-on learning, visualization, and pictorial representations to build number concepts, number sense and geometric sense. The students also apply newly learned skills to solve real-world problems as a whole class, in small groups, or individually.
