2 Bar, 4 Bar and 4 Bar Virtual Vex IQ Lifts
6 types of VEX IQ lifts explained
4 Bar Double Reverse Lift: Explains how to build the lift.
At 2:50, it shows a pretty good view.
Notice they put the tower on the inside and built outward vs putting two towers on the outside and building in. This allows shorter shaft that are supported at both ends.
Notice the tower gears are essentially raising two arms, the upper linkage is thin beam for stability only.
Notice the arms are pinned to the gear. The gear is driven from the edge. Not trying to twist from the axle.
At 0:50, can see a nice gear train build. Uses compound gears. First a 12:36 which then drives a second 12:36 for 1/3*1/3 = 1/9 ratio.
4 Bar Double Reverse Lift: A good view of the lift in action.
4 Bar Double Reverse Lift: Explains how to build the lift. The rubber bands offer a a unique geometry.
4 Bar Lift: YouTuber, Joseph973, has a whole series of robots. This is the latest.
Simple, effective 4 bar lift.
At 0:03, see a similar chain loop for high speed.
Notice the elastic bands on the back to help the lift motors.
At 0:15, notice the gripper is at correct height to go above and below intersection of two risers when lift at lowest position. Not fiddling with height.
Notice the gripper. Two sticks that are narrow. Easy to poke in between verticals. Sticks spread apart to capture riser. Self centering.
At 0:17, notice the little lift on the front. Picks up bottom riser just enough to get over ramps and maintain positive control.
4 Bar Lift: Another good example of a simple4 bar lift.
Elevator Lift: Linear slider lift.
Elevator Lift: Compact elevator lift.
Elevator Lift: Elevator lift build instructions.
Elevator Lift: A simple lift.
