Welcome to the AVS Library Media Website and welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!

Although the library is currently closed to classes, (Mrs. O'Neil is traveling to classrooms) you can still check out a book from our school Library Media Center and it will be delivered to either your homeroom teacher (K-4) or your LA teacher (Grades 5-8). In order to borrow a book you must not have any books outstanding from the 2019-2020 school year.

To place an order for a book:

1. First check the Destiny Discover Online Catalog to make sure the book is "In" and that we have it in our collection.

2. Complete the Book Order Form to "Order" the book. (Please order a minimum of two books in case we have multiple requests for the same book. (We will fill the order by time stamp if we have requests for the same titles.)

If you are looking for information about the summer reading program read through this paragraph! There is a separate page on this site for Summer Reading Programs for AVS (Grades 5-8), Pinkerton Academy (Incoming Freshman), and the Griffin Free Public Library (Ages 6-12). Click on the Summer Reading Programs tab at the top of this page for information on these various programs. Recently added, under the Great Reads tab, are the 2020/21 Great Stone Face and Ladybug Book Award Nominees.

Let the learning begin!
