Below are the 2020-2021 Great Stone Face and Ladybug Nominees. Reach out to Auburn's Public Library, the Griffin Free Public Library, to borrow these books. If you do not have a library card you can get one online by clicking here. (You must be in 1st grade to get a GFPL card. If you are not in 1st grade parents can sign up for a Family library card.)

Students in grades 4-6 are encouraged to read as many Great Stone Face books as possible keeping in mind their grade level and reading level. This is not an assignment but a recommendation of great literature to read! Add these titles to your summer reading list. In April of 2021, during National Library Week, AVS will vote on their favorite Great Stone Face book.

Student in grades K-3 are encouraged to read as many Ladybug nominees as possible as well. Again, not a requirement...just a recommendation of quality picture books. If you are not able read any or all of these books, not to fear... Mrs. O'Neil plans to read them to you during the 2020-2021 school year. Similar to last year, reading the book will be followed by an activity to extend the story. Will also vote on our favorite Ladybug Nominee in December.
