Math

For math you will need the following supplies with you everyday:

• Notebook with at least 100 pages. 

• Pencils and erasers

• Erasable pens (optional - but nice to have!)

• Scientific Calculator

• Headphones (students may not use bluetooth headphones per school policy)

Competencies that will be covered this year in 7th grade math:

G7.MAT.10 - Uses proportional relationships to solve real-world ratio and percent problems

G7.MAT.20 - Performs all operations with rational numbers, such as  fractions, decimals, and integers

G7.MAT.30 - Constructs and solves multi-step algebraic expressions and equations to interpret real-world problems

G7.MAT.40 - Constructs geometric figures to solve problems involving angle relationships

G7.MAT.50 - Solves real-world problems involving area, surface area and volume

G7.MAT.60 - Creates and interprets random samples to draw inferences and produce models

G7.MAT.70 - Investigates and evaluates the probability of events in a given model

G7.MAT.80 - Problem Solving: Uses a range of strategies and mathematical models to interpret and solve real-world problems

G7.MAT.90 - Communicating Reasoning: Constructs viable arguments to support their own reasoning and to critique the reasoning of others
