Mrs. Bradley's Classroom
Week of May 20, 2019
Our field trip to Bear Brook State Park is on Tuesday.
Please make sure students have a packed lunch, a water bottle, appropriate clothing and shoes, bug spray and sunscreen.
Students have NWEA testing this Friday in the morning.
If students have their own head phones and are able to bring them to school it would be beneficial for them to use for their NH testing.
Students will have homework this week.
Our current unit of study is metric units of measurement for length, mass, and volume. Students will be converting units from centimeters/meters, meters/kilometers, and grams/kilograms.
We will be continuing with our reading unit on the earth, moon, and sun. In our third story "The Moon Seems to Change." We will be exploring the role the moon plays on earth and the phases of the moon.
We will have fluency this week. We will be practicing and completing the comprehension questions in class.
Students will have spelling words and homework this week.
The students are working on an argument writing about their favorite pet- a dog or a cat. They will read 2 articles and taking 2 column notes about the pros of having a dog or a cat. They will being trying to convince you about the benefits of having one of these animals as a pet.
Homework is an essential way to practice skills that we are working on. We will typically have homework assignments Monday through Thursday. Your child will write each day’s assignment in their agenda. Your job will be to sign their planner each night when homework is completed.
