Willy Wonka Jr. AUDITIONS!
The WRB Drama Club is so excited to present Willy Wonka Jr.!
Auditions will be held Wednesday, 11/12 and Thursday, 11/13
Students will pick one time slot from 2:00-3:40 on one of the two days.
It is recommended to sign up with a partner if possible!
An Audition Workshop will be held on Thursday, 11/6 to help students prepare for auditions. Attendance is not mandatory but encouraged.
Mandatory Parent Meeting at 6:30 pm for cast & parents on Monday, 11/24 in the Cafeteria.
Performances will be on March 20(7pm) & March 21(4pm) at Gilbert H. Hood Gymnasium.
1. Sign up for ONE date and time slot outside room 121 (Mr. Gore’s room). You can plan to have your ride pick you up at the end of your time slot.
2. Fill out the Drama Cast Contract and bring it to your audition. You must have this signed! Auditioning does NOT guarantee you a part in the show as the cast size is limited.
3. At the audition, you’ll wait in the hallway outside Mr. Gore’s classroom. Then you’ll be called in with one other person. Everyone will read a script for the same 2 characters - Wonka and Charlie.
Be sure to practice both parts/character’s lines. You do not need to memorize the script, although it does allow you to show off your acting skills more!
4. You will then sing part of the song by yourself. The music is on the next pages and be sure to check out https://sites.google.com/sau10.org/wrbband/home for a recording of the songs to help you practice on the drama club page. If you absolutely can’t learn this song, you can sing Happy Birthday.
5. Your audition is over! Roles will be posted and a letter sent to each student.
