Isaiah 58 NHIsaiah 58 NH is dedicated to helping individuals experiencing homelessness or home insecurity find stability and improve their lives. We understand the importance of addressing basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter, which is why we provide essential services in these areas.
Fuel Assistance ProgramThe Fuel Assistance Program is New Hampshire's arm of the federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) which is funded through the US Department of Health and Human Services. While the Department of Energy administers the program, the on-the-ground work is done by local Community Action Agencies with whom the Department contracts.
Electric Assistance ProgramThe EAP provides eligible customers with a discount on their monthly electric bills. The discounts range from 5% to 86%, depending on the customer’s gross household income and household size.
Gas Assistance ProgramThe discount provided through this program helps make bills more affordable and helps customers avoid the risk of having their gas service shut off for non-payment. To be eligible for the program, customers must be residential heating customers of either Liberty Utilities or Unitil-Gas and receive, or be qualified to receive, benefits from one of the following programs:

Community Action

Community Action Agencies are local private and public non-profit organizations that carry out the Community Action Program (CAP), which was founded by the 1964 Economic Opportunity Act to fight poverty by empowering the poor in the United States.

CAAs are intended to promote self-sufficiency, and they depend heavily on volunteer work, especially from the low-income community. They also depend heavily on federal funding, which now comes primarily from the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program.
