The Student Ambassador Program is designed to help and encourage new international students to reach their academic and personal goals while adjusting to a new environment. Student Ambassadors welcome and facilitate the transition of new international students to the St. Ambrose community.
This program builds a relationship between a returning student (ambassador) and a new student. Ambassadors are expected to support and encourage mentees by sharing their knowledge and experience as returning students, therefore helping the academic, social, emotional, spiritual and socio-cultural adjustment of the new students.

Compensation: International Student Ambassadors receive free, on-campus housing.
International Ambassadors must be available to assist with planning International Student Orientation, which requires you to return to campus 15 days prior to the Fall semester and a few days prior to the Spring semester. More details will be given to those selected.
Talking with a current International Student Ambassador or an international student: Talking with a peer who has experience as an Ambassador will give you an idea of what being an Ambassador is all about. Talking with an international student will give you an idea of how the Ambassador helps new students as they arrive to campus.
