1. Please list outside activities and time commitments you anticipate being involved in 2019-2020. Please include the number of hours per week for each.

2. Are you able to commit to a full year in these positions?

3. Are you applying for or already admitted to SAU graduate school for the 2019/2020 year?

4. Why are you interested in becoming a student leader?

5. Have you ever been found responsible for a policy violation or been found responsible for a policy violation at SAU?

International Student Ambassador Question

1. Please describe any personal characteristics, skills, experiences, which you possess, that make you well qualified to be the International Student Ambassador.

2. From your perspective, what do you think are the three most important functions of the International Student Ambassador?

3. Have you ever had a mentor (formally or informally)? If yes, please describe briefly.

4. Please describe how you have interacted and/or worked with people different from yourself.

5. Please explain any travel, study abroad, or foreign language experience that you may have.

Resident Advisor (RA) Application Questions

1. What do you feel sets you apart from other RA applicants?
2. What do you hope to gain from the RA position?
3. What aspects of the RA position do you feel would be most difficult for you?
4. What role do you feel diversity plays in community development?

Peer Campus Minister (PCM) Application Questions

1. Please describe your campus ministry experiences and skills that will make you well qualified to be a Peer Campus Minister.
2. From your personal perspective describe someone who you have come to admire as a truly spiritual person. What traits do you most admire and how do you strive to emulate them?

3. You will be asked to rank all halls in the order you would prefer to work in.

Summer Housing Assistant (SHA) Application Questions

1. What ideas do you have for getting residents out of their rooms over the summer? (specifically program ideas and community building actions)
2. Describe what you think the role of a Summer Housing Assistant is.
3. Are interested in being the Lead SHA?

Students Trained as Role Models (STAR) Application Questions

1. In what community activities have you participated? How were you involved?
2. What resources at St. Ambrose have you used to plan your academic program? What departmental or college programs have you participated in that have helped you determine your career direction?
3. Identify one organization, activity or job you have participated in at St. Ambrose and describe the skills you developed from this experience that will make you an effective STAR.
4. What was one problem you encountered at St. Ambrose? How did you solve it? How would this experience help you assist new students?
5. What is your understanding of a STARs orientation Assistant’s role in the orientation process?
