Unit 1b: The American Revolution

In the study of the American Revolution, students will begin with an understanding of the French and Indian War (1754-1763). This conflict precipitated a series of Parliamentary acts and taxes that infuriated the American colonists. Instead of willingly adhering to these new rules, the colonists began to rebel. Students will learn the major arguments and events on the path to freedom from the British eventually resulting in the American Revolution.
