Welcome to Kindergarten!

Hello!

My name is Mr. Duenas, and I am thrilled to have your students in my kindergarten class! This is my 4th year teaching at SPU, but I have been around campus since 2019, wearing many hats as Mr. Mikey. I am also proud to say that I have a long history with this beautiful school, having attended kindergarten through 8th grade on this very campus. 

I am a Multiple Subject Credential Teacher with a Master's in Education from Azusa Pacific University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from California State University, San Marcos. 

I have the most amazing little family,  my wife and son, who are the absolute lights of my life! Spending time with them brings me the greatest joy! I also enjoy skateboarding, surfing, cycling, and playing baseball in my free time. Living life outside is a family favorite!
