Background:
Youth Empowerment Network (YEN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth in urban communities through education, mentorship, and leadership development programs. Founded by a group of passionate educators and community leaders, YEN aims to address the systemic barriers that prevent many young people from reaching their full potential.
Scenario:
YEN has been operating for several years, offering a range of programs and services to support youth empowerment. However, as the organization continues to grow and expand its reach, there is a need to reassess its business model to ensure sustainability and effectiveness in achieving its mission.
Challenge:
Despite its dedication to serving the community, YEN faces several challenges, including limited funding, capacity constraints, and the need to adapt to changing community needs. To overcome these challenges and maximize its impact, the organization decides to explore the Business Model Canvas as a tool for strategic planning and innovation.
Objective:
The objective of this case study is to analyze YEN's business model using the Canvas framework and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. By understanding the organization's key components, stakeholders, and resources, participants will gain insights into how YEN can better serve its community and achieve its mission of youth empowerment.
