Community Project - Criterion C - Taking Action

Students have December - early March to complete their service projects.

It is now time for students to complete their action portion of their service projects.

Depending on their project, some work may be done in class. For other students who are completing direct service projects, they may be using their homeroom as more of a study hall time and doing their work outside of school hours.

Students MAY NOT miss school to complete their service projects.

Begin Service

As you are working on completing your service in December-March, please make sure you are documenting your work.

See page 10 in your process journal for further explanation!

Begin 2nd Advisor/Student Conferences

By the time Process Journals are submitted on March 10th, ALL students in your homeroom need to have had their SECOND meeting with you as their advisor.

Use page 17 & 18 in the process journal to record your meeting date, notes, and signature. This is an IB form. Students DO NOT need to fill out their student number or school number. You are their supervisor.

Complete Hours Log - PAGE 3

When you submit your Process Journal for grading on March 10th, your hours log will be reviewed and graded. Here's a reminder of the expectations:

[7/8]Excellent Service: 15+ Hours dedicated to Community Project

[5/6] Substantial Service: 10-14 Hours dedicated to Community Project

[3/4] Adequate Service: 5-9 Hours dedicated to Community Project

[1/2] Limited Service: 1-4 Hours Dedicated to Community Project

Completing Criterion C

As students are completing their service work, they need to complete the reflection for Criterion C.

Complete Process Journal page 11.

Pages 3 [Hours Log] and 10 - 11 must be complete for the March 10th Process Journal submission!
