Each student will be provided one copy of the Process Journal. Have students fill out the cover page.
Any additional copies of the Process Journal will be the responsibility of the student to re-print. The Process Journal can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
Teachers: Please assign a due date for process journals to be signed by a guardian. Allow at least 1 week for signatures.
This page is where you will begin brainstorming the types of work you are interesting in researching. Your project does not need to be finalized!
This page is required for you to add research notes and ideas. You may add additional pages to your process journal if needed.
By the time Process Journals are submitted on March 12th, ALL students in your homeroom need to have had their initial meeting with you as their advisor.
Use page 16 & 17 in the process journal to record your meeting date, notes, and signature. This is an IB form. Students DO NOT need to fill out their student number or school number. You are their supervisor.
Follow the prompts on page 7 to create your project proposal.
Follow the prompts on page 8 to reflect on your current work and create a plan for any next steps you need to take to be sucessful.

Return Graded Process Journals
Students will be reviewing rubric scores for Criterion A & B in your process journal. These marks have been made by a Churchill teacher after reviewing your current progress and are reflecting where your project is at this time. Students who have not completed these pieces of the project, or are not happy with the progress made so far this year will still be able to add additional work as needed on pages 4-8 of their process journal.
Use this time to add, correct, or complete any of these pages in your process journal.
The next step will be to begin completing your service.
If you are needing to make a major change to your project proposal, you do NOT need a new Process Journal. You may add additional pages to show the process of changing to a new idea. Students may also print new copies of needed Process Journal pages and add it to your original packet. DO NOT discard your original packet and start new! Part of your work on Community Project is showing your process you took getting to your act of service.
