Empirically Reason
There will be school-wide projects over the course of the school year. All projects must be completed to a level of proficiency to earn the necessary credits for science this year.
Additional ER projects of choice (personal projects) are encouraged and supported, however, these projects of choice cannot be used to replaced any of the required projects.
Math Updates
Make Sense of Problems and Persevere
Online Math Course
Students have been enrolled in their first semester math course.
Cypher, Year 1 and Year 2 students have additional required support (Math Lab) time each week, see the daily calendar for details. Additional drop-in Math Lab support times are available Monday through Thursday.
Students who do not complete two semesters of math may need to attend summer school.
Apex Progress Emails (Sundays)
Families receive a weekly email from Apex (on Sundays) to give a snapshot of your student’s progress. If you are seeing red, that means your student is significantly behind and may not complete the course by the end of the semester. If you have questions, please contact Glenda at gcox@sanjuan.edu, or your student’s advisor.
TIP: Click on the "Student Details" by the student's name on the email and you will see a detailed list of their time in the course over the past week as well as any overdue assignments.
Math Lab Drop-in Hours

Tuesday: 8am - 9am and 2pm - 3pm
