Student Rights

All students (TK-12) have the right to change their name and/or gender identity at school. Students further have the right to change information on all non-legal school documents. Students can change their name/gender in our student information systems formally or at the school site informally. It is the responsibility of each school site to inform their students and staff about this protocol and honor any student request for information changes, but only after a gender support meeting has occurred.
