SAN JUAN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Elementary Track and Field Meet Information

General Meet Information:

- This is an open invitational track and field meet for 3rd-6th San Juan Unified School District Students.

- Each student may compete in all five events but only one time per event.

- Each race will be final.

- 1st through 8th place ribbons will be given out for each flight / heat. 

- Shot put and Long jump will be run simultaneously from 4:30 to 5:45 PM.

- School colors or school t-shirts are encouraged.

Order of Events

Field (4:30-5:45)

Shot Put

- 4.4 pound shot for 3rd & 4th Grade; 6 pound shot for 5th & 6th Grade

- Competition will be divided by grade level and by gender in flights of 8.

- Two attempts will be given.

Long Jump

- Competition will be divided by grade level and by gender in flights of 8.

- Two attempts will be given.

Track (5:45-8:30)

60 Meter Hurdles

- Race will consist of 5 hurdles.

-The distance will be divided up as follows:  

-Plastic "Over/Under" hurdles inserted into large 18 inch cones will be used.

- 3rd graders will use 12 inch cones for hurdles.

-Divided by grade level and by gender.

200 Meter Run

- Divided by grade level and by gender.

60 Meter Dash

- Divided by grade level and by gender.
