On November 12, 2025, the Capacity Building Workshop on the Formulation of the Comprehensive Barangay Youth Plan (CBYDP), Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP), and Annual Budget officially began. Mr. Amerson R. Aguinaldo, Head of NYC Calabarazon, facilitated Day 1 with insightful discussions and interactive activities that deepened participants' understanding of starting the SK Budget. The workshop continued on November 13, 2025, with Mr. Mark Ryan D. Talajuron. Presidential Staff I of NYC CALABARZON, leading an in-depth session on the SK Annual Budget, allowing participants to strengthen their skills and complete working drafts of the ABYIP and SK Annual Budget.

As part of the closing of Linggo ng Kabataan, the Pag-Uulat sa Kabataang San Joseño event was held with the assistance of Local Youth Development Council. The Sangguniang Kabataan from each barangay presented their audio-visual presentations. SK Federation President Hon. Mark H. Arre also addressed the youth, sharing accomplishments and future plans. The event marked a meaningful moment of reflection and engagement for the Kabataang San Joseño.

August 16, 2025

The Job Fair successfully hosted 13 companies, with DOLE, SSS, and PAG-IBIG also joining to provide essential services to job seekers. Several applicants were hired on the spot, a result of the collaboration with the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO). The LYDO played a key role in assisting applicants by offering document printing services to ensure they were well-prepared for the event.

The Palarong Pinoy featured four (4) teams compete in a series of exciting traditional games, including Tug of War, Agawan ng Panyo, Sack Race, Palosebo, and Hulihan ng Biik. Each team showcased their skills, strength, and teamwork, making the event both fun and competitive. The event not only highlighted traditional Filipino sports but also strengthened camaraderie and team spirit among the participants.

FO1 Gerard M. Guste and FO3 Jeff Walter Credo fire officers from Bureau of Fire Protection of San Jose, Batangas, facilitated the Basic First Aid Training for the Little Officials. They first demonstrated CPR and first response for choking incidents, ensuring that the participants clearly understood the proper techniques. Afterward, the Little Officials were able to practice and showcase what they had learned during the activity.

Through their discussion, the Little Officials were encouraged to value both their mental and reproductive health as part of their overall growth.

This process marked a significant step in empowering the youth to take on leadership responsibilities during their one-week experience as municipal officials.

On June 24, 2025, members of our LGBT Youth, Local Youth Development Council, and Sangguniang Kabataan came together for an insightful HIV Awareness Forum at the San Jose Primary Care Facility, Barangay Poblacion I, San Jose, Batangas. The event focused on the theme “PRIDE, PROTECT, PREVENT: SAFE LOVE, SAFE LIVES.”

The goal of this forum was to raise community awareness and provide valuable education about HIV and its prevention. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Municipal Health Office and Nurse Roma H. Rivera for their dedication in organizing this important event. Sangguniang Kabataan participated in the Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS) Training conducted by the Office of the Municipal Agriculture.

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Training-Workshop on Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS) is a capacity-building initiative designed to equip youth leaders with essential knowledge and skills in waste management. This workshop aims to educate SK officials on conducting WACS, a systematic method of analyzing the types, sources, and quantities of waste generated in their community. By understanding local waste composition, participants can develop data-driven policies and programs to promote sustainable waste management, environmental protection, and community participation in solid waste reduction and segregation efforts.
