Directions:
In the first group of 5, read the amendments and list the protections you are given by that amendment. You can use your book or some of the other resources I have provided for you to accomplish this. For example, the second amendment protects your right to own a gun. I think.
From this home group, pick a number 1 through 5. You will go to the specialist group to accomplish the next task.
Group 1 Amendment #1
2 Amendments # 2,3
3 Amendments # 4,5
4 Amendments # 6,7,8
5 Amendments # 9,10
For each amendment(s) please read the section of the book that corresponds with the amendment. You should be reading in chapter 10. Then, please do the following things:
- Rewrite the amendment
- Translate the amendment into simple language.
- Identify any vocabulary and define it.
- Come up with a memory trick to help remember the amendment.
PEMDAS Please, Excuse, My, Dear, Aunt, Sally
