Well that was a surprise! We knew that this week was going to be a crazy one but who knew it was going to turn out this way!
Please be kind, help out and be mindful of others in your bubble - the juggle is really tricky for everyone but you can help with that.
Google Meets will start next week - I will give you more details closer to the time.
Remember to check Seesaw, Google Classroom and your emails for information and updates.
There is a new learning matrix on the home page, a weather focus, which seems appropriate given the thunderstorm last night. I will be setting up an assignment through Google Classroom where all your work, pictures and ideas can go for this.
Remember Pause, Breathe, Smile - anything is possible with the right mindset.
I have found another amazing site!!

How awesome is this!!!
Sky City have put up this cool website where you can find some colouring in pages. They will put a new one up everyday. If you have access to a printer this could be a really cool thing to do!!!

Google Meets
We will start Google Meets on Monday at 10.30am.
This is a chance to touch base, see how everyone is going and to ask any questions about your learning. You can also email me on latuc@sandspit.school.nz .
Check this website out! It has some nice numeracy and literacy activities to test out.
Are you struggling with your basic facts?
Now is a great time to practice!!!
Here is a website that just may help
And for a bit of fun...
I discovered this during our last lockdowns and became a little bit addicted!!!
Have a look and see what you think - you can change the size of the puzzle to suit your skill level. I just love the click noise it makes when it gets into the right place!!!
Challenge
Your challenge is to do one nice thing for your family. It might be to vacuum, tidy your room, help make lunch, pick some flowers, play with your siblings nicely or draw a nice picture for someone.
Take a photo of that "nice thing" and send it to me ........ BUT extra points (fruit burst worthy) if you can write 3-4 sentences to go with your picture. Your writing could be a made up story to go with your picture OR it could be a recount telling me what you did, how it made you feel and the other person feel. You can type or write. (My email address is at the top of this page!)
Researching
So after the last lock down we saw some extra work that two of our class mates did. What is something you would like to find out more about? Are you passionate about something that you would like to share with the rest of us. You could do a poster, a slideshow or even a mini book. Surprise and impress me.
Spelling
Seeing as Mrs Callander pinched some ideas off me, I am going to pinch some off her. She has this awesome spelling site on her page. Check it out!!! I spent ages on Friday night setting up your spelling words for this week, so this will have to be the next best thing - and I think possibly way more fun!!!
