To borrow books from the library, you must first earn a library badge. Each badge level provides access to different parts of the collection. Review the badge descriptions below to understand which books you can check out.
The Bookworm Badge is designed for younger readers.
Includes all books intended for children under age 8
Parents may check out books on behalf of their children
If child is 8 years or younger, parents will be required to earn this badge alongside thier child. Because all these books are standard paper editions and not board books, parents are responsible for the care of the books while borrowed.
The Guardian Badge includes everything in the Bookworm level, plus additional materials.
Access to all Bookworm books
Access to all books written by Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) authors or books focused on SDA themes
The Scholar Badge provides full access to the entire library collection.
Includes all books in the library
This badge is not yet available. It is currently only earned by students who completed the HSC Speech or Apologetics & Debate/Dialogue class. More ways to earn ...coming soon. Reach out to HSC.
All badge levels include access to Your Story Hour, provided the library currently maintains an active subscription.
These books are shared resources, and careful handling ensures others can enjoy them as well.
Please follow these basic guidelines:
Keep food and drinks away from books
Handle bindings carefully
Turn pages gently
Avoid bending, folding, or marking pages
Treat every book as if it belongs to someone else... because it does.
To request books: Fill out the checkout form. You will be notified when your book(s) is ready for pickup up from credenza in the church foyer.
