USD VICAM

Purpose

We are a student organization that focuses on resolving international business disputes through arbitration. We build skilled legal professionals who are able to serve their clients in commercial arbitration across the globe. Team members learn to apply international commercial law and practice arbitration procedure. We compete in overseas Moot Competitions and receive hands-on training through a dedicated alumni support network.

2023-2024 VICAM Team

USD VICAM was proud to send twelve team members to three international competitions last year. These competitions included the Willem C. Vis Moot, in Vienna; the Vis (East) Moot, in Hong Kong; and the Galicia Pre-Moot, in Mexico City.

7th Annual VICAM Gala

The USD VICAM team would like to invite you to our 7th Annual Gala on February 28, 2025. This event will celebrate the team’s accomplishments and raise funds for our participation in the Vis Moot competition. We would be thrilled if you could join us for a night of celebration–and of course, our Silent Auction!

17th Annual Michael Thorsnes International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot Sponsored by California Arbitration

The University of San Diego will be hosting the 17th Annual Michael Thorsnes International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot on March 1-2, 2025. This competition will include law schools from across the United States and internationally.
