Webster Family Handbook Highlight: Children learn by example. It is important to treat others in the school community with respect at all times. The expectation of respect applies to adults as well as students. Per California Penal Code Section 626.4, consent for an adult to remain on campus can be withdrawn when there is "reasonable cause to believe that such person has willfully disrupted the orderly operations" of the school.

Solar Eclipse: San Diego will experience a partial solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. We will use this as an opportunity to learn about the science behind solar eclipses. We will have eclipse glasses available for students to view the event safely.

School Policy: Electronic Devices (cell phones, smartwatches, etc.) Electronic devices can be disruptive and distracting to the learning and school environment. These devices include, but are not limited to, cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds/headphones, tablets, and electronic games and devices. Students may use school telephones in the case of an emergency or when instructed to do so by school staff. If you send a device with your child, the device must be kept on silent in the child’s backpack or turned into the classroom teacher and turned off when at school. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or broken personal devices. Devices may be confiscated by school staff if students do not adhere to the guidelines and policies for use at school. Parent/guardian will be notified and may stop by the school office to retrieve the device after meeting with the school principal.

Webster Garden: Do you enjoy gardening and want to help us beautify our school? Please join us for a Garden Work Day on Saturday, November 4th, 9:00-1:00. We are also looking for a community member or parent with landscaping experience who would be interested in coordinating our garden remodel. If you are interested in being the Garden Coordinator, please contact Mr. Schweitzer, wschweitzer@sandi.net, or let the front office know.
Webster Costume Parade: Students may wear their costumes to school on Friday, October 27. We will have an all-school parade on the blacktop from 9:10-9:30 am. Families are welcome to join us. Please follow these guidelines for costumes:
Appropriate for elementary school
Not scary
No full-face masks
No weapons, knives, swords of any kind
No costumes allowed on October 31
