Who Needs a Choice Application?
Younger siblings of Choice students
TK overflow pupils wanting to remain for kindergarten
Students who moved outside 92122 ZIP code but want to remain enrolled
Children of district employees living outside boundaries
Early Learning students not at their school of residence
Magnet students moving to the next level outside their current cluster
Who Does Not Need a Choice Application?
Resident students (live inside 92122 ZIP code)
Current Choice students who have not moved
Choice pupils with valid Interdistrict Permits articulating within a feeder pattern (example: Spreckels Elementary -> Standley Middle -> University City High School)
Choice pupils articulating to the next level within their high school cluster (Example: Enrolled at UC via Choice in 9th grade -> continuing at UC for 10th grade).
