What happens during a Wellness Visit?
A Wellness Visit is a one-on-one session where you get a chance to release all of the things you've been carrying in your head, weighing on your shoulders or on your heart with a trained listener who can provide a source of non-judgmental support, resources on your campus, within San Diego Unified School District, and in the community.
What can I expect?
Wellness Visits are a safe non-judgemental space for students to connect with a Wellness Center Coordinator who is an active listener and can navigate students/families to support and resources within SDUSD or in their community.
If you don't have a Wellness Center at your school site or in your area please reach out to us by filling out the interest form at the top of the page.
Please Note: Wellness Visits are not intended as a substitute for therapy or counseling. Wellness Center Coordinators offer check-ins as a non-clinical active listener. We are trauma informed personnel with a restorative and cultural humility lens.
How To Schedule
If your school site has a Wellness Center please reach out to your Wellness Center Coordinator. Find your school site under the "find my school" tab or fill out the interest form above and our wellness team will reach out to you.
