Class Change Requests: Due to the master schedule being created with our students' first choice requests in mind, there may be limited space for changes. Please keep in mind schedules are NOT finalized yet as we continue to correct errors and holes in the schedules, address class change requests and balance classes. This means teachers and periods are tentative and can change. Therefore, students can only request changes based on the assigned course and not the teacher or period.
Check your most up to date schedule in PowerSchool prior to submitting any requests, in case any changes have been made while counselors work on schedules.
If a student wants to make a schedule change request, they must complete the Class Concern google form on their Kick-Off day. Click here for access to the forms. Counselors will not be able to honor schedule change requests made via email.
Requests can be made for the following reasons:
Hole in your schedule (example: no period 2 class)
Missing a core class (no English, Math, Science, or Social Science class)
Wrong class for my grade level (example: I am a junior with a freshman English class)
Level change (example: switching from AP/Honors to regular)
Duplicate classes (two of the exact same class on your schedule)
Requesting a period off (Juniors and Seniors ONLY - Must meet district qualifications AND complete the Student Enrollment Consent Form. The Student Enrollment Consent Form (a.k.a. Assigned Time Home Application Form) must be signed and submitted to the counseling office during Kick-off when making the request to add Home to the schedule. There will be a box in front to submit forms. Click here for the Student Enrollment Consent Form - You only need to complete the 2nd page titled "Student Enrollment Consent Form"). Make sure you include the reaon for the request under the box titled "Rationale".
Elective change request
Please do not email or leave voice messages for counselors to request schedule changes. Schedule change requests can only be honored through the process shared above.
Counselors will not be able to email notifications of changes being made. Students will get confirmation if their change was made by viewing PowerSchool in the first day of school.
