Collaborative Group
The SDUSD School Garden Collaborative Group is a group of district representatives that support school gardens. They come from various departments in the district including: Physical Plant Operations (Landscaping, Maintenance, & Custodial) and Food & Nutrition Services (Farm to School Team and Love Food Not Waste).

Contact Janet if your school garden needs mulch or a Green Waste Bin (see page 6). Mulch is delivered free of charge by Republic Services (with a 5 cubic yard minimum). Janet can also provide resources for the Café to Compost program. Additional composting resources can be found at the bottom of this webpage.

Contact Janelle if your school garden would like to participate in any of our F2S programs (see page 7). Janelle can connect you with a variety of school garden organizations, district departments, nutrition education resources, networking events, tasting opportunities, and more.
Sarah Diaz, sdiaz5@sandi.net Love Food Not Waste Specialist
Contact Sarah if your school garden needs support training students (through our video library or to create your site’s own tutorials) or a collection container & sticker labels for composting student salad bar plate waste from the cafeteria. Sarah can also provide resources for conducting a plate waste study that might guide your Café to Compost program.
