Community service is volunteer work done by one individula or group of individuals to help others or improve the community. Although community service is not required for graduation, some colleges and scholarship programs may require or recommend it when reviewing applications.
Below is a list of community service opportunities:
I’m reaching out as the High School Volunteer Coordinator for the upcoming 2026 Philippine Medical Association of San Diego Carabao 5K, and we would love to work with Patrick Henry High School! We are currently seeking high school volunteers and potential appearances on the Weekly Newsletters. It’s a great opportunity for students to earn service hours, get involved, and support a meaningful cause!
As a brief introduction, the PMASD Carabao 5K’s mission is to embody the strength and resilience of the Carabao – the legendary Philippine water buffalo symbolizing strength, resilience, and community – to combat heart disease, promote community health, and raise vital funds for underserved families in San Diego and the Philippines.
