The San Diego Unified School District has several research databases available for district students to use. Here are some tools to help you get the most out of these databases. To access the databases, go to destiny.sandi.net and click on the database you would like to use. If you are accessing off campus, you will need a login and password. Offers more than 1,700 full-text sources. Includes magazines, newspapers, books, television/radio transcripts, A collection of over 7 million maps, pictures, weblinks, and audio/video clips. (grades 8-12)

Provides access to databases across all major subject areas, including business, health and medical, social sciences, arts, humanities, religion, education, science, and technology. It includes thousands of full-text scholarly journals, trade and professional titles, newspapers, magazines, dissertations, working papers, case studies, and market reports all together on a powerful, user-friendly platform.


Three levels of learning-Elementary, Middle, and High School. Resources are presented in various reading levels, videos, and images. Meets research demands. Content updated monthly, aligned with common core, STEM, etc.

Real Life, Real Answers, the award-winning and critically acclaimed database. It provides students with curricular support and self-help on topics including diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, fitness, mental health, diversity, family life, and more.

Provides original, in-studio movies of authors and illustrators, and a wealth of multimedia resources on K-12 books to support reading and library activities for all grades and content areas.

In school access to the New York Times. Must be on campus to access.
